25 March 2009 - Candlelight Ceremony date set! We would like to invite you all to the Candlelight Ceremony in lieu of the one that was missed this year (due to the early closure of the Relay event weekend). All team captains should receive this announcement. If you missed that the details are:
Date: Thursday 2nd April
Time: 8 to 9pm
Where: John Hay Courtyard, Deakin University, Geelong Waterfront Campus (enter via Gheringhap Street)
Parking: Either street parking or the Deakin car park in Smythe Street can be used
21 March 2009 - Following up the event, we are in the process of securing a venue for a Candle Light ceremony. Please stay tuned for further details.
18 March 2009 - Well what an interesting weather pattern we created by having a Relay For Life event! A big thank-you to all teams for your participation at the event and also to the safe manner that you all undertook when we closed the event.
3 March 2009 - Tent site selection is now open! Your team should have received an e-mail and/or SMS notifying you of the relevant details you require and from what date you can select a site. You can access it from the menu on the left, under the "Event specific details". If you have any questions about the selection, please call Laura 0432 493 555 or e-mail geelongrelay@gmail.com

23 February 2009 - STOP THE PRESS - You can register for Relay Idol online by clicking on this link (Relay Idol information and registration) or on the menu to the left under the "Event specific details" heading.

29 January 2009 - Newsletter number 3 for the 2009 event is now available.

24 August 2008 - Newsletter number 1 for the 2009 event is now available.
1 October 2008 - The launch for the 2009 event will be on Friday the 10th of October (yes, Friday week) at the Lakehouse, Deakin University, Waurn Ponds, 7pm. All are invited to find out about the 10th Relay for Life in Geelong. Map of location (building jd).
9 June 2008 - Dates for the 2009 Geelong Relay for Life are now set, they are the 14th and 15th of March 2009.
9 April 2008 - STOP THE PRESS. The 2009 Geelong Relay for Life will be held at Deakin University, Geelong Campus at Waurn Ponds. After two years away from Deakin, we will be returning for the 10th Geelong Relay. Stay tuned for more information as it comes to hand.
3 March 2008 - Congratulations to those who moved for 24 hours...or part there of. Despite a windy start, the weekend turned out to be relatively quite pleasent (some photo evidence).
If you do have any photos from the event you are willing to share, please send them through to our e-mail address so that we can put them up on the website.
At this stage we have raised close to $271,000 - but banking is still occuring until the 28th of March. We will keep you updated.
